I’d rather see Obama vs. Palin.

She has more experience and credentials than Barack. A great protege of McCain who will become the first woman US President in 2012. Dems can no longer say “more of the same” because Palin walks a fresh path and has a track record of leading an entire state.

Biden appears to be the puppet master of Obama. Barak looks good in front of the cameras but behind-the-curtain is the Biden.

Yeah. If Obama can be top ticket so can Palin.

Palin exceeds the qualities and experience needed to run for President! What in the name of ?!!@? kind of experience does Nobama have compared to her??

Thank God for McCain and definately Palin or really represents my class.

  4. Joseph L'Ami on September 4th, 2008 11:27 am

I would vote Sarah Palin for president.

Jonh McCain however has the wrong view on: Immigration
    School vouchers
    prisioner of war treatment
    Finance reform
    States rights
    ect.

Please Sarah, convince John McCain to let you be the president as he serves as your VP.

I think that Palin for President would be AMAZING for the American public. I know majority of you doubt her but I think many of you will be very surprised in the coming future, with what she has to offer the public.

She may not have a much experience on International Affairs but from what I’ve learned by researching her profile, is that she catches on quick!

Look how quickly she reformed the Alaskan government! I mean in record time! I’m still astounded by this woman and utterly impressed!

I think she is going to go very far…with our WITHOUT McCain. I’m betting Obama is shaking in his boots over her. She’s created such buzz, public opinion is in favour of her, many people can relate to her, she’s likeable, she’s firm, she addresses conflict head on…..and she WROTE an amazing speech!

Anyone who says her speech was doctored should research her previous speeches. She has an amazing writing style as a Journalist and I could tell she wrote her speech, by the ways she explains herself. I was a Journalism student and I can see her writing style has flared through! Wonderful speech. I was moved…as a woman and as an aware citizen.

Little girls across the country NOW have a new role model.

    Thank you Sarah!

I’m so excited to see a woman of Sarah Palin’s caliber on the ticket to lead this country. She is an inspiration on every level- mother, reformer, working mom, belief in family and the sanctity of life. In comparison to Hillary Clinton who is an embarrassment and disgrace to all married women–for reacting like a cold carcass to the scandalous affair her husband had–no self respecting woman would stand for that and I think that’s why she has ZERO support from the traditional American family. She should be ashamed of herself for allowing that red-nosed, jazz playing, blow job loving idiot to parade around on the campaign tour. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of the “pant suit lunatic”– I think 2012 she will rear her ugly head again. But next time her opponent will be Palin!!! (If I get my wish)
It’s so refreshing to hear the words of the GOP, of real pride in being American and the hope of our future in this blessed country we are so fortunate to live in.
The media is so incredibly liberal, it’s hard to watch TV at night without hearing some idiotic attack on Palin, I’m disgusted with the media and I hope that everyone is voicing their opinions to the media regarding their attacks– as I am.

McCain and Palin- we are praying for you!

Your supporters in Santa Barbara, CA.

Palin needs to help Guam become a state. When is Guam going to become a state? It’s already a state in everything but name. Make it a state!

  8. Melanie on September 7th, 2008 6:05 am

Interesting … what a fresh new face … never heard of her before till last week.
I think she would be an excellent President … heck, I’ll take VP :)

She’s a fast learner… and adaptable … but doesnt lose her sense of realism.

I like her … just not thrilled with how the Republicans have handled things to date.

I still will vote for them.. they get one more chance with me…

  9. shawn lorenz on September 7th, 2008 10:21 am

Isn’t it time for John MacCain to step down and allow Sarah Palin to take her rightful role as the presidential republican presidential nominee. Lets face it MacCain doesn’t really represent our party’s conservative values.

I’m so excited about this election…more so than ever. I don’t want some whiny butt Dem in the White House! I like McCain, and was already going to vote for him. But now with Palin running with him that just seals the deal. Her acceptance speech at the RNC kept me on the edge of my seat. My husband (a US Vet who did two tours in Afghanistan) wasn’t going to vote at all this year. He kept saying “give me someone to vote for.” Now that he’s seen what she’s like he’s voting. Thank you Sarah Palin! We’ll see how she does as VP………but I already feel she’ll run for President in a few years.

  13. baboo on September 12th, 2008 8:45 am

Reform? Prosperity? Peace? Damn those republicans when all they want to do is be there right in front of the conflict. Opening a new front in Georgia to confront Russia? Yah, open a new front and spread your army too thin, I will see that the US will be humiliated once they start all the wars in the world. They did not even won the war in Afghanistan, what more in Iraq. What more, as Palin said, US will confront Russia. Oh come on.

If americans will vote for another Republican term, then I don’t know if Americans are just dumb or just blind. You can’t live alone you know.

  14. Monique Frugier on September 15th, 2008 2:02 am

McCain/Palin : THE END OF AMERICA! This is NOT a personal attack on anyone here but it is a fact. WAKE-UP and do what is good for your country, not what is good for your party. Want to be TRUE Patriots? You have that chance in November!

  15. Terry on September 16th, 2008 12:25 am

THE END OF AMERICA! Whatever. A no substance fear invoking statement. I’d rather pull the plug on America by going down fighting than watch America become a communistic state under the rule of the elitist Democrats.

  16. Alex on September 18th, 2008 10:11 pm

Palin will do a great job. She stands strong for a lot of stuff, and which i stand to on. She doesn’t believe in abortion, unless the mother’s life is endangered. Which im very strong on. She is strong about the Right to Bear arms. Which im not 100% on that, but they should have a little more strict gun laws. She transformed Alaska in a hell of a lot better place. I’m surprised a migration didn’t happen yet. Bringing her daughter being 17 and pregnaut has nothing to do with her presidency. They are probably the realest family ever. Light Bulb burns out, im sure they would take care of it theirself. No lie. Well. Done Here. Palin FTW.

  17. Mary on September 19th, 2008 3:01 am

I have to laugh. You haven’t suffered enough yet, so vote for her for all the wrong reasons and get what you very well deserve over the next four years. If you haven’t felt it yet you will.

  18. Silver on September 25th, 2008 5:47 am

I have to say, Palin is getting a big head. She is acting as if she were runnig for president of the United States. People think just because Palin is a woman, she is fit for the job of vice president. I, as a female, find that offensive! You shouldn’t say that a person is good because they are one gender, and you “want a change” is not just annoying, but something to laugh at! And McCain has vote for those horrible ways of government and war for 40 stinkin years! And he’s the one who says he can change all that?!?! He’s just telling the public what they want to hear. I bet he won’t send the troops home. he’s just another republican.
in the long run, who do you think would be a better president?
Who would go down in history?

    Obama- Biden

  19. Al p stony on September 28th, 2008 9:19 pm

I for one cannot wait for another female in the White house. Especially as a potential future Presidant. They say nobama has some smarts, and sure but he has much more more special interest than Sarah ever could coming out of Alaska. You see how big Alaska is and how big is Texas then you know what i mean, these are big places that take alot of running to make work right. I think if you put alaska and Texas together they are as big as America and that’s good enough for me and my family any day. We can get more oil outta those places that can keep us driving big safe cars like Suburbans for a long time to come. God bless us here in America.

  20. Dale Y on September 29th, 2008 9:56 am

With all due respect, are we really using our heads here? This is not a baseball game or a movie. We can’t vote for the underdog or the darkhorse to come in and surprise us all, save the day, blah blah blah….

We can’t vote for someone because they are like us, or look good, or any other superficial reason. Being an outsider is a not good thing. Look at the success of outsiders like Carter or George W. Neither were on the presidential fast track. We thought both of them were refreshingly down to earth. Hah! More like they in over their heads.

I say let get some smart people who can work with our problem here and abroad. They don’t have to be nice or sweet or good looking or “small town”. Just get some effective people in office!

Hey what if you had to choose a surgeon? Would you choose an outsider? Perhaps someone not corrupted by the big salary of a top hospital? Let’s find a doctor who isn’t rich and doesn’t accept insurance. How about a bright and upcoming student? A faith healer? Surely that’s better than the old arrogant SOB everyone’s been recommending.

Be smart! This is not American Idol, this is your life!

  21. Simple Guy on October 2nd, 2008 6:08 pm

I am a little bit scared about the future of America. The past 8 years have been led by a weak and uncaring Federal administration. This economic recession is going to hurt all of us Americans for the next year or 3 more years depending on the bailout. Honestly, Sarah Palin and John McCain scare me. It looks like we’re headed for 4 more years of George W. Bush here.

I know the republicans will make sure that Sarah is completely prepared for tonight’s debate against Joe Biden. Still, the greatest debater does not make the best president. She’s highly inexperienced and she simply does not know how to resolve the issues that all of us Americans are facing. I know the media tends to emphasize her inexperience and “distance” from the Washington politics.

Also, we all know that McCain has a history of Cancer. Not to mention that he is 72 years old. It doesn’t matter if Sen. McCain is the “Maverick”, if he somehow unfortunately passes away while in the white house we are looking at a really dangerous situation. There is a very high possibility that Sarah Palin could become president. Are we really confident with Sarah Palin as the president? I am not a sexist. I am an American. I strongly believe that voting for Sarah Palin will lead to the beginning of the end. Thank you, America!

  22. Daniel on October 6th, 2008 1:28 am

I plan to write in Sarah Palin for president on election day. Encourage your friends to do the same.

    Good-by to McCain and Ovomit.

John, all that says is that Matt Damon knows nothing outside of his Hollywood box. I’m sure there are many many qualified people for many many jobs that Matt Damon doesn’t know anything about. Is Matt Damon your litmus for leadership? If Matt Damon isn’t familiar with a person, they aren’t relevant or important to you? I bet his isn’t familiar with YOU at all. Therefore, your opinion means nothing to Matt Damon. Why do you spread his? What has Matt Damon done for this country beside make movies? Put his face on some organization posters saying he supports this or that? Wow. That’s true American sacrifice right there.

He’s an actor. He pretends for a living. He gets paid to make you believe things that aren’t true. So yeah, in a way, you posting that link says it all.

  25. CYRUS T on October 10th, 2008 9:37 pm

You people need to get your brains examined if you think Sarah Palin should run for president of this fine nation. She simply does not have the brainpower to lead our country. She is a very attractive person and she seems just like a typical middle class woman. It is time to stop voting for people who would most likely be your drinking partner like our last one and vote someone in who has the intellect to run this country in the right direction. That person is Barak Obama

  26. Brady on October 16th, 2008 10:51 am

    Palin 2012-2020

  27. Proud American on October 17th, 2008 7:10 am

I am not a McCain supporter but until he went into attack mode I had respect for him. Palin, however is a disgrace. She can see Russia from her house, and I can see light through her head when I look in her ear.

Say a prayer for America if she ever gets to be President, because it will be pretty close to curtains for us. If she can’t handle the media, how is she supposed to handle meanies like Putin and the terrorists? Katie Couric (of all people) ripped her a new one.

But I am glad I stumbled on this crazy world of this site, where most of the people commenting support this idiocy. Good luck in the coming economic hard times, folks.

i despise the elitist game. there is nothing wrong with being wealthy, intelligent, and well-educated, as obama is. isn’t that really the american dream? (i don’t penalize mccain for being wealthy either. i think his intelligence is debatable, but that’s just my opinion).

i don’t know why rural americans are “more american” and “down to earth” than i am. apparently sarah palin isn’t an elitist because she can barely form a complete, intelligent sentence. i don’t hate her or think she’s a complete idiot, but she was abruptly thrown onto the national stage and did not adjust well. nothing she has said has proven to me that she would be a competent vice president. in interviews and in the debate, she just regurgitates talking points. and honestly, when she talks, it sounds like my mom bitching at me.

she is not at all a realist: she earnestly believes that american is incredibly exceptional. check the human development index, we’re twelfth on the list, all the data is at hdrstats.unpd.org. the era of u.s. hegemony is coming to an end, and that is natural. we cannot be the dominant power forever. THAT is reality.

it annoys the hell out of me that women support her just because she has a uterus. that is feminism at its worst. i would fully support the RIGHT woman for president. palin is not that woman.

i hate that abortion and gay marriage have become tenants of the conservative base, even though members of both political parties are mixed on the issues. we’re letting religious doctrine invade our politics. do not try to say that i’m anti-religous, i’m a christian. (oh and i do believe in evolution. i will not even attempt to reconcile the two here). you simply cannot apply religious doctrine to every u.s. citizen because not every individual has the same religious beliefs.

apparently tiffany thinks that any news media that reports something negative about palin is liberal. you like to think that you believe in FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY but you do not believe in freedom of speech and press. if it is an inconvenience to the political party, the information should not be out there. go watch o’reilly and hannity on fox if it makes you feel better.

oh al p., by the way: the population of alsaka is 670,000. the population of texas is 23.5 million (us census bureau 2006). you simply cannot compare governing the two by size, because its irrelevant.

  31. Kay on October 21st, 2008 7:54 am

Now more than ever, American needs another Ronald Reagan, and now we can have that kind of leader in the Whitehouse: Sarah Palin!

  32. Kay on October 21st, 2008 7:56 am

Bruce, while I agree with your sentiments, Palin for President, let’s be real: all write ins are just in effect like a vote for the opposing candidate. Don’t take a vote away from Palin by doing that! Vote for McCain, Palin is part of the package for 08!

  33. Kay on October 21st, 2008 8:07 am

BARRACK OBAMA is just JIMMY CARTER with better TV charisma.

Remember what Jimmy Carter did to America? Remember double digit inflation, the Iran hostage crisis that the ‘all talky no acty’ typical democratic administration was unable to resolve? Who rescued the hostages, ended the cold war, brought down the wall of Communism in eastern Europe, made our economy strong and our citizens proud? A GREAT REPUBLICAN named RONALD REAGAN. And both John McCain and Sarah Palin are formed in the same mold as that great leader. AMERICA NEEDS MCCAIN AND PALIN!

  34. Tom T on October 23rd, 2008 8:40 am

Sarah Palin is the only real hope for the Republican party, and the far left liberals know this and fear what she is capable of achieving. Which explains why the corrupt mainstream media vilifies her to such a degree. The political process in this country is broken, as evidenced by the Obama campaign, and it’s time we Americans stop accepting this and demand a higher standard. And, when Sarah Palin is sworn in as the first female president in our nations history in 2012, she will bring honesty, integrity and common sense back to the table. She will not accept the status quo, bringing the real change to Washington that the ‘false prophet’ Obama failed to deliver. America will then have a president in office for the first time since 1980 that truly cares about the people, and the values that once made this country so great. Palin for President - 2012!

  35. andrea on October 23rd, 2008 8:51 pm

mccain would have very little support at this point if it were not for palin. she possesses what mccain does not: youth and cuteness. she is more or less doing for the republicans what obama did for the democrats: bring a fresh perspective to the political scene. the difference between the two is that obama did it with eloquence, intelligence, and tranquliity. palin busted out with her exaggerated folksy accent and several blundered interviews. and yet people simply flocked to her because she was NEW and FRESH…with little substance. just because she’s from small town does not mean that she understands the POLICIES necessary to HELP YOU.

OVER EIGHTY PERCENT OF AMERICANS LIVE IN URBAN AREAS.

i think some republicans have forgotten who the number one on the ticket actually is.

  36. jack walker on November 3rd, 2008 5:32 am

    Hello Americans!
Your ‘great nation’ is not well liked at all, palin is liked even less, Obama is fairly well liked, you do the maths. get him in charge and the world will consider forgiving your country. If you dont care what the world thinks then how about not electing Palin because shes is obviously just an woman with the ability to remember a bunch of words and then speak them back to the public at the right time. if shes president the world is ruined.
She has also spent a great deal of the Republicans party’s money, whats to stop her spending your country’s, and by extension, your money on clothes? you want your taxes to be spent on her vanity?
just my thoughts (andf the toughts of a large amount of the world for that matter)

  37. Editor on November 3rd, 2008 6:06 am

Wow, Jack! Thanks for stopping by! If I had known the Speaker For The World was coming, I would have tidied up a bit and had refreshments on hand. You can keep your ‘forgiveness’ and consideration of such, we don’t need or require it. Our current Bush administration is guilty of mistakes no doubt, but as a country, no, our great nation owes no apologies nor your ‘forgiveness’ and there certainly won’t be any here. Hope all is well in the United “Nanny States” Kingdom. :)

Does Jack Walker’s middle name start with an “A”? Where did he learn to type?
Where would the rest of us be without people like Jack to point us in the right direction? …or to tell our next President how to dress…LOL
